the risk that
started it all.
in 2008, our dad left minnesota for california wine country. we grew up watching him build something from the ground up. the long days, the setbacks, and the small wins that kept him going. we saw what it meant to believe in something before knowing how it would turn out.
our dad dedicated calculated risk to us, using our middle names; austin and reece. so if you ever see those names, that’s the story behind them. it carries the belief we grew up with: put in the work, trust yourself, and keep going, even when the next step isn’t certain.
the feeling
before.
we all know it. the pull toward something different. the sense that there could be more on the other side. the urge to find out.
sometimes it’s leaving what you know. sometimes it’s standing up for what you believe in. sometimes it’s finally doing the thing you keep coming back to.
you can’t know exactly how it will turn out. but you want to find out enough to take the first step.

wine has a way of turning “come over” into a whole evening. one conversation leads to another. someone tells you something you never knew. nobody’s checking the time.
that’s what we love about it. the bottle is something you bring. the night becomes something you keep.
